Biography
When I am not surfing or riding, I am an executive recruiter based in San Francisco, who partners with venture capital ("VC") firms throughout the US to build world-class investment teams. Prior to this, I was a Principal (investment professional) at two different VC firms, focusing on web services and other consumer technologies.
In no particular order, other job experiences include working in the Office of the Chairman at Dell, Inc., guiding Class V rivers in West Virginia, consulting on behalf of McKinsey & Company, coaching athletes at the NCAA Division I level, and leading land-based and sea-based courses as an instructor for Outward Bound USA.
Have a couple of degrees from a well known university where, as an undergraduate, I played a considerable amount of water polo. However, when I grow up, I wish to own a Major League Baseball franchise. And a small beach cottage overlooking a solid, uncrowded left break. Random interests about which I am passionate include sustainable development, protecting the environment, experiencing cultures as different as possible from my own, and listening to live music of all kinds.
